I'm Dr. Erlich and I have been practicing medicine since 1963. I was a general practitioner for years. I now practice only addiction psychiatry and forensic psychiatry but I am still an old fashioned doc. Now a days, when you call a doctor's office after hours you get a tape telling you that if you have an emergency you should call 911 or go to an Emergency Room. In my practice, once a patient has been seen in my office, evaluated and put on a treatment plan, we are available to him 24/7. The exception would be if I am sick or on vacation and then I will have someone cover for me.
We practice state of the art addiction medicine, using the latest medication combined with counseling and 12 step programs.
If you are a lawyer looking for a forensic consultant, you might ask yourself what I have to offer that you can't get from a great many others. I have good qualification: author of a text book, 40 years of experience, recertified in addictions and forensics a year ago, president of this and chairman of that, awards, and so forth. The only thing that is different about me is that by virtue of my age I keep my practice small, so I can get reports out fast. I know that the law is often an exercise in hurry und wait, and one thing that you should not have to wait for is my reports.
